R.E.A.D.

Reading Excites All Dreams — putting books into the hands of young readers across Salem-Keizer.

Children reading books from the R.E.A.D. program

Program Overview

R.E.A.D. provides books to children in our community so every child has the chance to read at home and build a lifelong love of learning.

Who it serves

Children across the Salem-Keizer School District, with a focus on classrooms and families that benefit most from access to free books.

Why it matters

Owning books at home is one of the strongest predictors of reading success. R.E.A.D. helps close that gap, one book at a time.

How you can help

Donate to fund book purchases, volunteer to help distribute books, or partner with us as a local school or community organization.
